Is the Kingdom inside us right now?

Yes. This is perhaps the most consistent and radical thing Jesus taught, and he was unambiguous about it. When the Pharisees demanded to know when the Kingdom of God would come, he told them plainly, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:20-21, KJV). Notice what he refuses—he refuses the whole idea that it is a place you travel to or a future date you await. The recovered sayings press this even further. In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus warns against those who point outward: "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you... Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you" (Gospel of Thomas 32.19-25). And again: "the kingdom of the father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it" (Gospel of Thomas 51.19-20). The Kingdom, then, is not a reward postponed to death, nor a territory to be conquered—it is the present reality of your union with God, already whole, waiting only to be seen. It is spread out before you now; the veil is not in the world but in perception. This is why the inner work matters so much: the Kingdom is not built, earned, or summoned—it is recognized. When you grow still, beneath the noise of fear and wanting, you begin to awaken to what has always been true—that you are the image and likeness of God, and have never for one moment been separated from Him. So the question is never whether the Kingdom is present, but whether we have opened our eyes to it.
